Leon Robbins, DVM

Leon grew up in Winston-Salem, NC, and attended Reynolds High School where he was on the Reynolds Wrestling team. He was very active in Boy Scouts and received his Eagle Scout in 1982. Leon worked on Greenbrook Dairy Farm in his early years and this experience motivated him to pursue a career as a veterinarian.

After high school, Dr. Robbins attended North Carolina State University and graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. After graduation, Leon worked for Yadkin Veterinary Hospital until 1994 when he moved to Grandview Animal Hospital in Pfafftown, NC. 

After 13 years in a leased building, he decided to build his facility to provide a new and improved atmosphere for his patients and clients.

Leon’s hobbies include fishing and woodworking. In fact, he designed and built the clinic’s reception desk. Leon remains active within the community, and is a Sunday school teacher at Deep Creek Friends Meeting. Leon and his wife, Janet, reside in Yadkinville, NC.

Dr. Emily Ruble

Associate Veterinarian

Raised on a small farm in East Bend, Emily has always been passionate about caring for animals. In 2008, Emily joined Grandview Animal Hospital as a student intern from Forbush High School, and continued to work as a veterinary assistant throughout college and veterinary school. Emily’s experiences at Grandview further encouraged her to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian. After graduating from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Emily returned to Grandview Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian.


Emily is focused on providing your pets with excellent care and encouraging a strong human-animal bond. Outside of Grandview Animal Hospital, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors with her fiance, Andrew, and dog, Colton. When she is not outside, you can find Emily spending time with her family and friends.
